Replaying Shining Force 1. Does anyone know a way where I can have more than 12 members on the battlefield via Game Genie/Pro Action Replay/mod?

Technicaly, I don't know if there's a limitation for that.

The game can't handle more than 32 sprites on a map, but whether they are force sprites or enemies, I think this could be exchangeable.

As for other things, like characters tables, I think it would take quite a work to expand, and probably need serious playtesting before we see it working properly.

Guess Rubix would state this changes to be considered 'low on priority'. :shifty:

If you're willing to have your game only run on Mega Drives with the full 128 kilobytes of VRAM installed?... Maybe.

But as entertaining as that would be, I don't think most people want hacks that only work on Teradrives or modded consoles. Even if many modern emulators will handle it correctly.

Never mind how much of a pain in the arse it is to rewrite fair chunks of the game to handle that mode. :shock:
