It's been a lot of work.

Ok, I just figured out why it is inaccessible, Even though they share the same map, there is another map labeled "New Granseal HQ" in Caravan. That map is messed up, and when you edit either map, the screen goes black if you try to enter it. So I guess there is nothing we can do about it. That is some nice logic around your response, I like it. Once again, nice job!

Is the change to the Harpy battle intentional, or have a stumbled over a bug?

Basically I have Chster, Jaha, May and Peter at the bottom of the map, and the rest where they should be. I'm guessing it's a bug, but a strange one. Still... Could be fun! Super is quite a challenge, Slade and Jaha each had 9 Defeats, and the others all have at least 3 or 4, except Rick who just joined (and not sure about Kiwi or Luke since i'm not using them). I like what you did with May's battle sprite, and with Sarah's Cleric sprite.

That is intentional, it is also in my game and makes sense, you don't send all your units to investigate a pool, so then they are split by an ambush.

That and if you are playing on Super then the battle becomes a major pain in the ass.

Ah, makes sense. I had to egress the first time and run back to Hassan. Got caught in the pre-Taros battle again, and used it to level up Rick, Chester and Gerhalt (who were still lagging behind on lvl 1/2), and get a bit of gold to fully quip everyone with their best weapons/armour. Sarah's Level 9 now, and is a lovely tank with the Mage's Cloak.

Managed the Harpy battle, not as hard as I first thought it would be, but still made me worried for the Chess battle.

I'll be honest originally the Chess battle was a complete nightmare. Nearly every enemy had in upwards of 70 HP and could effectively 3 shot your best tanks. The king himself had Blaze 3, 150 HP, and could one shot every character short of Jaha, Bowie, and the like. After it taking me in upwards of 40 tries and finally beating the battle I nerfed it. The battle is still difficult, but not impossible it will probably take you two or three tries maybe if you are unlucky.

PS: The above mentioned battle was done on regular not super.

The Chess battle was easy in the beta though, wasn't it? I don't recall having any trouble.

I'd imagine it was. I believe I fine tuned the battle before the beta.

Maybe I just got lucky then. I'm pretty sure I did it in one try.

I just made it to the Zalbard battle and he is a pain to deal with! I'm doing this on super and got him down to the single digits, then the stupid monk Heal 4ed him back to full.

2 things - where do I find my first armor shop? Nothing on Grans...

Also, is it intentional that Sarah starts with no weapon, or access to one until after the first battle?

Whelp, I was really looking forward to the chess battle on super since all the enemies have weapons. I figured I'd try to kill as many as possible and get some nice defense boosting levels to prepare for the Willard battle. Then after luring out and killing a pawn and bishop the king leaves his subjects behind and goes Rambo on my force. I tried to tank him for a turn or so but Blaze 3 is too devastating so he had to go... at least Gerhalt has a sick kill rating now.

Despite the high attack, Willard battle wasn't too bad besides the rats one shotting my archers. Now to decide who to pick at Creed's... was originally thinking Randolf but Jaha is killing him in attack. That and I don't really want to replace anyone, Luke and Chester have actually been pretty awesome post promotion.

Dang it, Dark Claw. The characters are too balanced! :p

OK, it is only on roms that I patched using the 3-digit patch.

That is what it said instead of RDBN.

Also, I'm at the Zeon Battle on Super! :)

Edit: Attempted multiple times and never made it to Zeon!
