I'll take Geshp...

Crazy idea that I'm not sure yet if it's a good idea or not : a timed challenge? Maybe we make some creature to turn ratio and for each battle then, give ourselves a set amount of turns? Turns would be calculated rather simply and for example, if we give ourselves 8 turns for a battle, we need to finish it before Bowie takes his ninth.

Maybe?

Added you in, and took out Noma. Not sure how well your idea would work. I'd probably have to go through the game and see how long each battle takes approximately. Something to think about though.

I had the exact same idea.

Turn-limit would have to be based per battle. There are battles that will take more than 8 turns to finish within a respectable difficulty :)

I'd still enforce the No Egress rule, 20 Promotion, and restart the save if you die rules. Would you guys prefer Super or Normal difficulty?

Anyone else want to do this / opposed?

....Someone suggested allways adding new members to the force, I think. That sounded fun.

I did not mean to say 8 turns for every battle, my suggestion was to base the time limit on the number of enemies. That still isn't always an equal challenge, sure, but that just means some battles will be harder than others. Isn't that always the case? ;)
Also : takes a lot less time to set up than MXC's suggestion of playing all battles to get an idea for each. That being said, maybe we need exceptions... I'm not sure how the first battle can be calculated on the same ratio as the path to Ribble (or something simple like that).

I gave the example of 8 mostly to explain my suggestion on how to calculate turns... because the game doesn't exactly explicitly state what turn it is you know. Ergo, for an 8-turn limit, need to finish before Bowie's ninth.

We could set random numbers, but there is some variance in the battles. Whether it's because the battle is spread out or in the desert.

As a reminder for the last 10 team games:

Paper Wall
Roulette
Marathon
Roulette
Marathon (participating players picked the Force members)
Roulette
nightshade's hack
Roulette
Marathon (one character from each class type)
Random Rules

I'm always up for Roulette games of course. But I'm really just up for whatever. Going to wait a bit longer to see if I get a response from Drakonis or zexxar (or anyone else!)

As much as I would be okay doing a timed game, it's going to take some extra planning. Something I'm happy to do but not on a short notice. I definitely like thinking outside the box though ;)

Whether we do Roulette or not, does anyone have any other things to add in? Should be pick members to use in our final party? Should we pick members to never use? Anything else?

Per usual, we'll promote at 20 (or ASAP), no power-leveling/egressing, restart the battle if you die. In addition, I vote we are allowed to revive members since it gets pretty awful otherwise :)

And I'll take Zeon.

I'm feeling masochistic. Give me Harpy Pool.

Roulette seems fine to me. I'm blanking on good game options, sadly.
MAybe something crazy like "switch out all characters after battle"? Though it would just end up being a game with 2 full teams sharing all the exp in the end, lol.

Let's do Roulette then, since it seems to be the most okay option :lol:

Everyone give me one character that will automatically not be in the party (and killed immediately if they join before the Caravan). Also, while we do this, pick another battle.

I'm voting out Janet. And I'll take Battle 15 - Shrine Near Ribble.
