Current Run: Kiwi's Desperate Effort

Postby DomingoRules! » Wed Nov 21 2018 5:04am

Man, Kiwi sure is showing a lot of effort to try and be used in my current play through of the game. Not only has he already gained +5 total HP by Level 17 (which at least seems high, but honestly I usually don't even let him reach such a level), but the Cheerful Bread gave him an additional +4 without the need to save-scum. Too bad he's still not a good character, although his early game tankiness has been helpful in luring enemies safely into ambushes since I'm playing on Super.

I plan on cycling my party members though to see how that goes, so he'll get use regardless. Although I wanted to try playing like that in the first game since the game's balance is kind of shitty in regards to enemy strength, my copy has a dead battery so I'm trying with SF2 instead. Might get rough later on, but that might be a welcome change of pace.

Nah. I tried a solo run with Bleu in the first game once, but it was just really boring using only one character. Despite how challenging it may or may not be, I just didn't have much fun having just a single character to control. Was tired of it before finishing the first chapter.

Closest I've done is a 4-man army, which actually was pretty entertaining in both games, and I would consider doing again at some point. Although I'd probably promote at level 30 in SF2 instead of 40 since by about 30-35 EXP gain slowed to a crawl prior to promotion.
